Terms of Service.

The policies, conditions, and expectations that govern all Heartland services. Last updated: May 2026.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing heartlandservices.ca or booking any Heartland service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform or services.

These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and anyone who interacts with our website or completes a booking. Heartland reserves the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance.

2. Booking & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only upon receipt of a deposit payment through our online platform. You will receive a confirmation email with your booking details, assigned team, and scheduled date and time.

Heartland reserves the right to decline or cancel any booking at our discretion, including where a service cannot be safely or reasonably performed at the specified property. In such cases, any deposit paid will be fully refunded.

3. Property Access

You are responsible for ensuring that the Heartland team has safe and unobstructed access to your property at the scheduled time. This may include providing a key, access code, lockbox combination, or building fob.

If our team cannot access the property within 15 minutes of the scheduled arrival time, a lockout fee may apply and the appointment may be cancelled. In that case, the deposit may be retained to cover team time and travel.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

You may cancel or reschedule your appointment at no charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the service value.

To cancel or reschedule, contact us via email at heartlandservcom@outlook.com or through your client dashboard. Same-day cancellations due to emergencies are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

5. Pricing & Payment

All pricing shown on our platform is in the local currency applicable to your region. Final pricing is confirmed at checkout and reflects the selected service type, property details, add-ons, and scheduling frequency.

Payment is processed securely through Square. By completing a booking, you authorize Heartland to charge the stated amount to your selected payment method. Recurring service discounts are applied automatically and shown at checkout.

6. Satisfaction Guarantee & Re-Service

If you are not satisfied with the result of any service, please contact us within 48 hours of job completion. We will schedule a complimentary re-service to address any deficiencies at no additional charge.

The satisfaction guarantee applies to services that were performed as described. It does not apply to situations outside our control, including pre-existing damage, inaccessible areas, or changes in scope made during the visit.

7. Liability & Insurance

All Heartland professionals carry general liability insurance. In the event of damage caused directly by our team during a service, please notify us in writing within 24 hours and we will investigate and resolve the matter fairly.

Our liability is limited to the value of the service that caused the damage. We are not liable for pre-existing damage, items left in unsafe or accessible locations, or third-party losses.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use our platform or services to: engage in any unlawful activity; provide false information during booking; obstruct, threaten, or harass Heartland staff; or attempt to circumvent our booking or payment systems.

Heartland reserves the right to immediately terminate service and retain any deposit paid in the event of a breach of these conduct standards.

9. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, where Heartland is headquartered. For clients outside Canada, applicable local laws may also apply. Any dispute arising under these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless otherwise required by local law.

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
